i have a question, why don´t you come to mexico? you´ve got a lot of fans here, there are a lot of people who want to see you here on a big show, you don´t like mexican fans??? :( you´re the best zombie!!!!!
how did you make the switch from music to film? was making movies something you always wanted to pursue? and was there any inspiration in coming up with the Firefly Family?
I'm a SAG actor in the Boston area. Who will be casting for Lords? You could hire me ahead of time if you'd like, that would be cool. I would love the opportunity to audition.
i listened to your music when i was 6, knew everyword to every song. but theres one question i must ask...is there any chance at all for a white zombie reunion or an east coast tour?!
I've always joked that Rob Zombie could remake anything and make it awesome, saying he should take a stab at Bedknobs & Broomsticks. Would you ever consider taking on a beloved innocent classic and turning it into a frightening masterpiece?
I'm composing a paper on The Devil's Rejects that pertains to Outlaw history and archetypes -- would I possibly be able to ask you a question or two for my essay?
What is the CD which you listened to most a lot? What is the movie which you watched most a lot? (other than your CD and movie) Will you come to Japan again???
I live in salem, ma and cannot even begin to express my excitement for this film! What inspired you to make this film and what kind of score can we be expecting?
OK I have a few, as you with the coop, youre a main person I look up too, grew up with my grand parents, I love alot of the older flick, have you seen Gun Crazy? With 2 verson with lon chaney in both which verson of the unholy 3 do you perfer? And also May my wife and I invite you and your wife to our home for dinner one day. Spinach-Lasagna Roll-ups sound good?
I'm getting in to indie filmmaking, and your work (including the "makings of" featurettes have been a huge influence to me. What are the biggest pitfalls a new filmmaker runs into?
Rob Zombie and Sam Raimi, For the first time in history, Team Direct, EVIL DEAD 4 a 3 hour special feature!! i know ur makeing ur own paranormal like movie but ur brilliance is needed.
Will you ever or do you think that the dvd set of Halloween 2 with the documentary that you filmed will be released and when it might be released also since ginger fish is part of your team do you think the next album will be as dark and heavy as the first two solo albums.
One question Zombie, Is there a prequel in mind to the Firefly Family series? I personally think you are the most bad ass director out there that can pull of any number of sequels/prequels to your movies, I mean the Halloween sequel was done extremely well, and the Devils Rejects is a favourite movie of mine.. So maybe you should consider making a prequel? :) - Jason
Big fan of your music and films, Devil´s Rejects is a master piece, could you consoder the idea of making a prequel to that movie? And an off question, What do you thing of Guns n' Roses Chinese Democracy(always wondered that)?
A few nerdy questions. What's your favorite Stanley Kubrick film and why? WIll Lords of Salem be shot on 16mm? Who's cooler, Miles Davis or Ronnie Van Zant? Would you ever entertain the idea of a documentary being produced about your life and career?
What is the most challenging aspect of working with the same group of people in your films? Will Total Skull or Rob Zombie.com ever consider offering larger size clothing on the sites? Your "Fluffy" fans need some Zombie and Total Skull love!!!!! ~Kristy Doucet~
Ok, I lied. one more question. When you have someone make a website for The Lords of Salem, can it have a message board, please? It was fun posting on the official Devil's Rejects board back in the day, I remember when the board opened, you answered some of our questions, and that was awesome of you. Your fans need a message board so we can get to know eachother better, I am still friends with a lot of people I met on the Rejects board, and it would be awesome to meet other Zombieheads.
Boise, ID here, Thanks for the inspiration! Question 1. Have you given any thought for a tribute to a silent film with some Rob Zombie style to it? Question 2. Auditions for Lords? Would love an opportunity for an audition. -Shawn Case IMDB
1.Do you think you will be commercial successful like you were in the 90's and early 2000's because all they play on the radio now is 2 white zombie songs and 2 hebilly deluxe 1 songs it makes no sense I've even called the radio up and made a request for your new stuff and instead they played dragula you deserve more respect hopefully your next album heavier and darker with that groove vibe like your first two solo albums and will remind them of your talent I would like to see you as a big name again in the rock world on the radio.
2. Why does your new songs sound more fragmented lyrically(like in sickbubblegum and what) and more cartoonish and I saw you 5 times last year in Louisville,Knoxville,Rock on the Range,Atlanta, and Nashville and you fuckin rocked it everytime.
What about the comic WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BARON VON SHOCK? when you come to mexico I'm a big fan of yours think of my collection http://www.facebook.com/media/set/fbx/?set=a.1258496958338.29514.1707084249 and missed more magazines and comics I would like you to come if only to sign autographs I opened a Facebook page to gather signatures to pass through mexico thanks
1.What happened to the 8hr. halloween 2 documentary that you filmed or will it never be released because there was basically not special features on the dvd release. Have you spoken to the weinsteins about it.
2.Why haven't you and Marilyn Manson done a double headlining tour together.
3.When is Lords of Salem suppose to start filming because your about to go touring all summer and is it true that a dj unleashes the curse and brings back the witches in the moviebecause that makes no sense.
4. What type of style and sound do you plan for your next album.
How did Ginger join the band? I know he filled in for Joey a few times, but how did that all come about? When did you officially ask him to join permanently?
I've always thought that the early years of S. Quentin Quale/Dr. Satan would make an amazing novel. Have you ever considered writing a novel? If so, any ideas what you'd like to write about?
Many of your fans are the creative type. What can you tell them about your creative process that might help their own to evolve? (Ha! Not a short answer!)
Between Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, and Bill Moseley, fans haven't gotten their fill of the Devil's Rejects. Are there any plans to make this into a trilogy? Or are there too many other fancy projects that you'd like to move on to?
I was wondering what inspired you to get into directing and what's your favorite part of it? I admire your work as both a musician and director. Could you name any films that inspired your career as a director?
Our 2 1/2 year old daughter LOVES your music, she walks round dancing and singing your songs! Have you ever designed a range of kids tshirts...as that is all she ever says she wants?! Can't wait to see you again at Download! \m/
why was Scott Humphrey absent from HBD2? and do you think his absence attributed to the more raw band oriented sound of the album vs. your usual highly produced songs? (p.s. love ur songs with Charlie Clouser and Chris Baseford, Devil's Hole Girls alone was worth re-buying HBD2)
Hi Rob, We tried to contact you at the recent soundwave concert, but got lost in the crowds. Anyway, firstly a HUGE thankyou for coming out to Australia again. It was great to see you guys rocking away. Our question is, our 18 month old son loves singing/dancing along to your works, and we thought you guys would make great honorary godparents! If you're interested of course. Thanks. :)
It seems like artists are becoming increasingly conflicted with which formats to release new music on. Can you imagine a future where your fans no longer have the experience of waiting until release day to go to their local retailer to pick up a PHYSICAL copy of your new album? How much say do you have in what mediums your material is sold?
H2, in my opinion, had a strong influence from director David Lynch. Do you have a favorite Lynch film? What other directors do you view as influences on your work?
What ever happened to the House of 1000 Corpses/Devils Rejects fan art book that was discussed in the old RobZombie.com forums? I submitted my original Spaulding portrait and never heard anything back or heard anything regarding it. Was curious if that is ever still going to be in the works? Since then I have drawn Baby and would definitely do more fan art for it!!
Would you ever consider writing a prequel to House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects detailing the origins of the Firefly family? I just think that all of the characters in these films are extremely interesting and that a third installment in the franchise would be a reasonable end point.
What are your three favourite ALICE COOPER albums? What do you think about Marilyn Manson? Do you will ever direct "Werewolf Women of the SS" and last but not least: what do you think about the uber trashfilm "Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2" :P
When will you shoot "Lords of Salem"?? Variety reports that spring time was the beginning (¿¿???). Is any of these poeple on board for "Salem": Caroline Munro, Bruce Campbell, Dee Wallace, Cassandra Peterson??? Love all your flicks. THANKS.
Which film of yours do you think is the most creatively and artistically successful? Also, not sure if this is too personal or not, but why haven't you and Spider collaborated in films ? Should fans be expecting this in the future?
When are you going to create a film character for yourself? You create amazing costumes and images in concert, I would love to see you on the big screen! OH, and May 10 is my birthday, I would love a "Happy Birthday to Nancy" from the great Rob Zombie!
Hey i heard there was alot of shots takein of house of a 1000 but never put on the dvd. Such as the trailer with them digging in the ground and also were the family go to the football game and kill everybody stealing the cheerleaders. Will we ever see that film or no...
how do you start your writing process? does an idea just pop into your head and you run with it? or do you think of something then go into character development and plot outline?
Hey Rob, When are you going to make another film, especially something similar to the Devil's Rejects. I am addicted to them, and am impatiently waiting on more! Keep up the fantastic job and show all those lame Hollywood corporate fucks who is king!
Heyo! I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys playing here in Germany!! Are you gonna play "Werewolf Women of the SS" as well or have you decided against that? And: Have you ever considered making a Western or some sort of Blaxploitation movie? Especially a RZ style Western would be a cinematic dream come true...
I think you're one of the better horror director's today and I dig your music, but you always see a lot of critics saying stick to the music instead of the films. What do you make of this? Do you think is it a case of thinking people are just being critical for the sake of it?
I really enjoy your screenplays and I own a copy of "The Devils Rejects" hardcopy that you brought out with Neca. I'd love to read your screenplay for "H2"... Will you ever release it or make it available online?
Hi Rob, I wanted to ask you what's your favorite Jack Hill movie. And have you ever thought about Pam Grier doing a cameo in one of your movies? Couse we have seen Tura Satana in one of your movies and it would be cool to see more badass exploitation film actresses in your movies.
PS I have seen your live show in London this year and I came there from Poland, where I live. The show was awesome and I waited for it for a loooong time! It's nice you've finally came back to Europe and I hope you'll be visiting it more often.
ROB I JUST GOT DONE WORKING WITH JESSE DAYTON IN HIS MOVIE ZOMBEX WHICH WAS A BLAST!!!MY ULTIMATE DREAM IS TO WORK WITH YOU....HOW DOES ONE BECOME A EXTRA IN YOUR FILMS OR PA ANYTHING, I WOULD WORK FOR FREE JUST WANT THE EXPERIENCE EVEN FOR PROMOTION OR BAND HELP!
What happenned with "Tyrannosaurus Rex"? Have you ever think seriously make this movie? What about a hypothetical low-budget western? Anyway, I think that your choice with "Lords of Salem" is coherent with your view. Best of luck!
Being such a successful musician and film maker, who do you feel was the most important contact you made to get you where you are today? and how lucky do you feel that you get to do two things you love?
I wanted to ask you if Jesse Dayton gonna make some crazy music for your next movie? Becouse Banjo & Sullivan and Captain Clegg were awesome and it will be nice to hear some new crazy JD's country tunes in The Lord of Salem. Also I wanted to ask you if you ever gonna make a live dvd? The stuff on Hellbilly Deluxe 2 DVD was cool but it will awesome to watch your whole show on DVD over and over again :)
PS Thank you for answering all these questions. It shows you really care about your fans. :)
Okay, Rob this is a long shot but... what are the chances of me meeting you after your show here in Dublin, Ireland on June 28th to say hey! and have you sign a couple of my DVD's?
hi rob,i have wanted to ask you this for years, are you more of a gore or a spooky genre fan?i know you live and breathe b movies, but i was wondering are you more impressed with the blood and guts in a movie, or a creepy old black and white where the spookiness comes from your own imagination?
So many of my favorite horror films were first viewed at a drive-in. "Suspiria", "Hills have Eyes", "Phantasm".They just seem better outiside. Have you ever considered a Drive-in showcase if you could find the right Drive-in? See you soon in Salem!
You have been doing a few smaller shows in the California area. Would you ever do a full tour in smaller venues with a simpler stage show? Thanks, Noah
Which is more frightening? You hear a knock on the door. You open it and waiting on the other side is... A) A Clown or B) A former band-mate (one where things didn't end well)
Around one year ago I was in Beaufort, NC for my yearly beach week trip and I was in a cool old antique shop (junk shop) and I found this little clown statue that I thought was really neat, wanted to buy it but didn't have enough money, so I took a couple of pictures of it. Then a few months after that I was rewatching House of 1000 Corpses (for probably around the 20th time since I first saw it in 2007) and I noticed that the exact same clown statue was on the counter at Spaulding's.
Picture of statue in movie: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/52/clown1s.png/
Pictures I took of statue: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/217/clown2.png/
Was just wondering if you remembered where you got your clown statue?
Rob, I know your a fan of the classic universal monsters to movies, would you ever consider doing something in that vain not a remake but your own monster movie?
Do you like green beans?

ReplyDeleteHey Rob, When are you going to make another film, especially something similar to the Devil's Rejects. I am addicted to them, and am impatiently waiting on more! Keep up the fantastic job and show all those lame Hollywood corporate fucks who is king!
ReplyDeleteHeyo!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to seeing you guys playing here in Germany!! Are you gonna play "Werewolf Women of the SS" as well or have you decided against that?
And: Have you ever considered making a Western or some sort of Blaxploitation movie? Especially a RZ style Western would be a cinematic dream come true...
Who are some directors that inspire you and will your wife be in the Lords of Salem movie?
ReplyDeleteI think you're one of the better horror director's today and I dig your music, but you always see a lot of critics saying stick to the music instead of the films. What do you make of this? Do you think is it a case of thinking people are just being critical for the sake of it?
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your screenplays and I own a copy of "The Devils Rejects" hardcopy that you brought out with Neca. I'd love to read your screenplay for "H2"... Will you ever release it or make it available online?
ReplyDeleteHi Rob,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to ask you what's your favorite Jack Hill movie.
PPS See ya in Germany 2011!
ReplyDeleteWhat happenned with "Tyrannosaurus Rex"? Have you ever think seriously make this movie? What about a hypothetical low-budget western? Anyway, I think that your choice with "Lords of Salem" is coherent with your view. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteBeing such a successful musician and film maker, who do you feel was the most important contact you made to get you where you are today? and how lucky do you feel that you get to do two things you love?
ReplyDeleteHi Rob,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to ask you if Jesse Dayton gonna make some crazy music for your next movie?
ReplyDeleteRob, what was the last comedy you saw that actually made you laugh out loud?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Mike
Are you casting extras for your upcoming movie?

ReplyDeletehi rob,i have wanted to ask you this for years, are you more of a gore or a spooky genre fan?i know you live and breathe b movies, but i was wondering are you more impressed with the blood and guts in a movie, or a creepy old black and white where the spookiness comes from your own imagination?
ReplyDeleteSo many of my favorite horror films were first viewed at a drive-in. "Suspiria", "Hills have Eyes", "Phantasm".They just seem better outiside. Have you ever considered a Drive-in showcase if you could find the right Drive-in? See you soon in Salem!
ReplyDeleteYou have been doing a few smaller shows in the California area. Would you ever do a full tour in smaller venues with a simpler stage show?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Noah
Which is more frightening? You hear a knock on the door. You open it and waiting on the other side is... A) A Clown or B) A former band-mate (one where things didn't end well)
ReplyDeleteRob,
ReplyDeleteAround one year ago I was in Beaufort, NC for my yearly beach week trip and I was in a cool old antique shop (junk shop) and I found this little clown statue that I thought was really neat, wanted to buy it but didn't have enough money, so I took a couple of pictures of it. Then a few months after that I was rewatching House of 1000 Corpses (for probably around the 20th time since I first saw it in 2007) and I noticed that the exact same clown statue was on the counter at Spaulding's.

Was just wondering if you remembered where you got your clown statue?
Rob,
ReplyDeleteI know your a fan of the classic universal monsters to movies, would you ever consider doing something in that vain not a remake but your own monster movie?
